Les, that's an amazing coincidence - my father, was an ex RAF man who served
in North Africa and Italy, lived in South Ruislip and I spent some time
there in 1955 after returning from Africa for a year.
I remember going to visit St. Paul's and was amazed at the wasteland from
the bombing that was still not rebuilt.
Churchill's speeches are one of my favourite CD's which I listen to
frequently.

I lived in South Ruislip England from 1954 - 1957. My father was in the
Air Force. There was still quite a bit of rubble and damage in London.
It was only 9 years after the war. I still am in contact with some of
the friends I made back then. The resolve of the British people and
Winston Churchill made a great impression on me as a young man and I
will never forget.
