Riiiiight!

It's a canceled TV show and a few poorly done movies.

Seven major motion pictures from Paramount Studios. Plus
two documentaries concerning Star Trek fandom.

Five TV series (1966 to 2004) each lasting longer
than two seasons:

[the original series]
"The Next Generation"
"Deep Space 9"
"Voyager"
"Enterprise"

Hundreds of printed-matter publications ranging from "manuals"
to novels covering all the series' characters in plots and
settings based on the series' background but enlarging on
the basic premises.

Thousands of licensed (to Paramount) Star Trek itmes sold in
many places from department stores to science-fiction
conventions.

Phrases such as "Beam me up, Scotty" have become part of our
word culture as has the "transporter" and "phaser." ["set
your phaser to 'stun' (or 'kill')" to solve a problem]

Paramount Studies (and the Gene Roddenberry estate) have made
millions of dollars in profit on the 38-year "history" of
Star Trek. It is Big Business and remains profitable.

ah now you choose to insult Treekies

WTF is a "Treekies"?

It is more correct to call them "Trekkers," avid trekkers
having about the same need for exclusivity and belonging as
all the radio amateurs who think that amateur radio is "so
much MORE" than a hobby.

Give us a hint on how many letters we need to change your
insult into English.

As I remarked before, it takes only ONE letter change to
turn "Worf" into "wolf." Or vice-versa.

Now, Herr Worf, I suggest you have a glass of "a drink fit
for warriors" (as Worf has remarked more than once)...
prune juice.
