That ancient Galaxy? That was actually for a ham friend. I was acting
like it was for me, because I would have purchased it for him. He didn't
have internet access or ebay account, or something like that. He ended up
getting Ameritron AL-80A. Seems this is a good amp. But I know little
about HF ham amps. So I inquired about it.

Don't know anything about it. The reason I had inquired about that Galaxy, was
because the solid state amps were in the neighborhood of $1,000-3,000. So when I
inquired about the Galaxy, it was about $200. It took off from there. Luckily,
many hams came posted to stay away from that amp. They said there were cheaper
alternatives that were better.
I think that Ameriton was a single tube radio. Highly recommended by hams.
