Look up divergence and curl for yourself as I have no special characters
on my keyboard and I am a lousy typist too. You can find what you seek
in the chapter on Maxwell`s equations in ITT`s handbook "Reference Data
for Radio Engineers" This starts on page 43-1 in my 5th edition.

No contradiction to Kraus or Terman is to be found. The right or left
hand rules are good. Magnetic lines of force encircle the current and
electric lines are perpendicular to them as they begin and end on the
wire in their radial attachments. Both fields are at right angles to
each other and both are also at right angles to the current flow.

There is no abberation for diamagnetic materials. The fields are the
same if the wire is lead instead of copper. Diamagnetic distortion is a
myth. Velocity and loss are hardly different. You need to coat the
conductor with a diecectric if you would get more wavelength in a given
length of wire.
