I'm just
hoping my day job holds out. They have fired 70% of the workforce
where I work right now.
You know one thing that really ****es me off are companies that hire people
on H-1B and L visas then let go their American work force because the visa
holders work cheaper. So I was thinking, while watching the talking heads on
cable news tonight, with all of the money being handed out in bail-outs and
bridge-loans to save American jobs really have Americans working at those
same jobs? And for those that are getting fired or laid off are the
temporary workers, visa holders, the first to go?

Yes, don't get me started on this saving money thing. The reason we
have lost 70% of our workforce is becuase all our electronics (4
million+ units) is now being made in China at the Foxconn facility.
They are finding out that the savings promised by upper management...
and consultants have not come to fruition yet. I feel that they may
never get the promised savings... and they have lost many advantages
of manufacturing in our facility. All I do now is attempt to solve
issues with the chinamen via email all day... lol
