The 2010 was an awesome receiver. Very sensitive, ergonomically
delightful and it handled external antennas pretty well, excluding the
static blowout problem. I thought it would always be my favorite
portable, but then I bought an Eton E1. The 2010 was the King of
Portables for ever 20 years. Now, the crown has been passed to the E1.

I bought mine used at a hamfest, and sadly, the CPU failed, and so I
sold it later on to a guy I knew for parts to get his up and running.
It, and the Panasonic RF-2200 I had, were the two best portables I ever
had.

It's too bad they quit making it. They should have come out with a more
rugged version too, I would have hunted one of them down if they did.
