Really?
Most people have absolutely no problem with moderated groups, which
they find pleasantly free of crap.
Over the past 10 years, on several occasions I've tried to post
perfectly innocuous and on-topic comments in
rec.radio.amateur.moderated. So far, not one has appeared. What am I
doing wrong?
Maybe using the wrong news provider. Not all news providers have their
servers configured to handle moderated newsgroups properly.
My news reader (Demon's 'Turnpike') has the 'moderated' box checked in
the configuration for rec.radio.amateur.moderated (which is the default
when you add a new NG which is moderated). I don't think that there have
been problems with other moderated NGs although, these days, I only post
occasionally in uk.legal.moderated.
Otherwise, have you asked the moderator?
No. Apathy is my middle name!
