The 2012 CQ World-Wide WPX Contest. SSB is this weekend. Your chance
to hear or contact those rarely heard countries. 12 and 15 meters
daytime have been best. I contacted Tunisia on 15 meters and South
Cook Islands on 12 meters today. Check the DX Summit or DX Cluster for
listings of stations on the air.

I thought there were to be no contests on the WARC bands,
kinda makes you wanna go do a little jamming, eh?

You are correct: No contesting allowed on the WARC bands...but he did
NOT say that the 12 meter station was in the contest.

No *contest* stations would be on the WARC bands because when you sent
your log in the log checkers would bounce it a mile high. To say nothing
of the fact that 99.99999999% of the hams know there is no contesting
allowed on the WARC bands and would not be trying to run the contest on
those bands in the first place.

Correct. E51EWP (Cook Islands) is a DXpedition running through 3/26
and again on from 4/11 - 4/14 using all bands. (Hiding out this
weekend in the WARC bands).
