I remember being stranded at Chicago O Hare airport
because of snow conditions so I wasted time by putting my baggage in a
cart and walked around. While doing this some people were giggling and
I didnt know why until I realised that I had donned a sweater to keep
warm and it had spread across the front
.............SAN FRANCISCO............
Do you think I went back and asked them why they was giggling?
I knew why..... so I took off the sweater and went for a nice cup of
coffe with a smile to myself. Would you like to have that sweater,? I
doubt it

They who, Art do you even realize that in order to insult one person you
have insulted everyone who as ever lived in San Fransico, everyone who has
ever visited there, and everyone who would even like to live or vist there.
You are truly deserving of the TRACTOR AWARD.

person lurking around that is filled with hate. For my part I was
astonished as to how this group regarded the idea of a diiferent
antenna aproach which has now been accepted by better qualified people
that you find on this group. I have spoken to people who have known
Richard and all say the same thing he is discruntled with life and ..
well I wont go into that. But even as amateurs we are all interested in
antennas and when yet when one comes along it is rejected without one
iota of intelligent educational discussion or thought of delving into
just a cacaphony of insults from those who have mistaken anticipation
that all is known, at least with this group. Not everybody has the
opportunity of getting an education and many are not capable of
absorbing it thinking that they know everything that is important.
Ofcourse when you read about it you can always take the stance that Roy
takes i.e. I don't understand which can change later when it becomes
more fully understood. Amateur radio is a hobby for all types of people
mostly old guys angry at the thought of change or dying but that is not
a reason that thinking people can't get together and discuss a niche in
the hobby in the search of knoweledge knowing that knoweledge alone
does not lead to miraicles. Sometimes this group reminds me of a
statement I heard years ago.

So as somebody said I am not here to be a lump on a log

in the face of attacks from him , Roy and others.
You only have to go back a few posts to see
examples of his trash towards me and I will retaliate, anyway
I can until he stops..... His choice

Calm down, Art. Reg Edwards (PBUH) managed to stay in good humor
when he was the recipient of Richard's little bons mots, and you can
do at least as well as Reg in this regard. Chip managed to hold his own
without sinking to the level of a thirteen year old, and you can do that
too. (Although a few of Chip's alter egos were pretty far gone on the
puerile side.) You should emulate Cecil. He has the
hide of a Texas rhinoceros and never loses an argument (he never wins
one, either). As for your feelings about San Francisco, it's not like
you think it is, and even if it were, at your age no one's going to
ask you to play drop-the-soap no matter how eager you might be to
join the fun.

Hi Art,
One of the most difficult things in life to do, for those
blessed with a creative mind, is to learn how to communicate
ideas to those who are not similarly gifted. Your ideas are interesting,

No they are not, at least to this group. When I share my thoughts it
only takes one posting before the onslaught starts. If there was any
interest one person would have said hold on Art explain such and such
before you move on but that sort of thing doesn't happen because
peoples minds are closed but they also want to be heard. Look at Slow
code frankly I think he is suicidal and grasping at straws so he can be
helped in some way. There have been many experts that have fled this
group and it is leaving a void. Sometimes when I want to share an idea
I am looking for further knoweledge on the subject to see where I went
wrong, in other words to get honest debate going which allows one to
tolerate the other stuff.
The name of this group implies debate on antennas but some see
different things that attract them to this group and for me it is not
getting that hard to see.
Seems like every day you hear..........Lets get ready to RUMBLE.
Go back to my last thread and then judge if what I am saying is true.
And you know what over the years it has just been three people who gets
these personal assaults going, two of them have brains and the other
just likes to swear and argue and threaten people.as far as brains he
states he has them but wont show the evidence

but in order to appreciate them one has to learn to think in a
different manner with a different part of the brain than most
people are accustomed to using. You should be more pitying than
angry at those who don't understand. Just inventing something
isn't the end of the process. Explaining and defending are the
hard parts. You can do this better if you don't allow yourself to
be riled by those who don't agree with you.

Hi Art,

You are right, the model:
Center Frequency of use 14.25 MHz
element length height

1 209.46 927.1 feed element
2 198.25 973.97
3 172.78 822.86
4 219.83 964.4
5 185.53 922.4

makes no sense whatever in terms of being optimized or efficient.
There is NO convincing it for you to have to respond to.

thank you for posting and sharing your thoughts

Hi Denny,

Lack of shame does not bring notoriety like it used to. That coin,
which was SOP inside the beltway, has lost its glitter. You have to be
more creative:
A convertor consists of a resister, capaciter, and
inducter expressed in terms of a gaussion sweater theory.

What would yo Mama say 'bout that?

Cecil, can you state that if an antenna is in the house one would not
hear static?
I seem to remember that when I was at the top of a mountain in a rain
forest I put the antenna inside the car but the noise was S9 plus....
no communication could get thru
Bearing this in mind static noise was radiated to the antenna was it
not? So why cannot a droplet falling at 32 ft per sec sq not produce
radiation or if it impacts a dielectric transfer a electric charge with
curl? Isnt this lightning on a small scale? What I am getting at I
suppose
is if the antenna is protected from the environment and gets static
noise surely it is a radiaated phenomina. IR antennas have never stated
that their antenna was immune to static!

Is anything about your antenna in contact with charged
rain? Your noise problem might have the same cause
as lightning, i.e. the global atmospheric electrical
circuit. You might be experiencing simple corona
discharge.

Seems I have at least heard of Gaussian bundle, Is this anything like a
freznel.

Dont you just love it the way threads ramble, kind of like a word
association game.

Hi Jimmie,

Fresnel? Why not a non-linear medium yielding a Kerr Soliton?

Having said that, what does it:
1. Demonstrate?
2. Prove?
3. Bear any relevance to?

Grab any equation and you can tweak it until it fails and a new
physics is born.

This is turning into a rice bowl that feeds the multitudes.
