Does it make me a better ham haveing passed code? I wouldn't say it makes you a better ham for having passed the code test. I would say it makes you a better ham because you are now familiar with another operating mode commonly in use in the amateur radio service. Likewise, I would make the same statement -- it makes you a better ham -- regardless of the mode of operation -- CW, SSB, FM, AM -- you name it. Why? As an amateur, experience with ANY mode of operation, IMO, makes you a "better" ham. 73 KH6HZ |
