Hello to all my antenna friends. I've just now returned home after nine weeks in the hospital following major
spinal surgery. The surgery was successful, but I contracted hideous intestinal infection C Diff, or colitis,
in the hospital. Forty nine days were required to clear the infection, after which I could begin physical
therapy. I'm still recuperating very slowly, learning to regain my balance and walk again. Have you ever
wondered what it would feel like to stand up, but needing to hang onto something stationary to avoid falling
down? And have you ever wondered what it would feel like to stand up, but unable to move a foot to start
walking? I'm still learning how to walk, with the aid of both a walker and a cane. Long and tough, but I'm
making it.

Hope to join you great guys again occasionally as I continue to recover.

73 to All,

Walt, W2DU

Welcome home!

Any day which finds us still "sucking air" is a good one, such as today ...

welcome back
Now, in the meantime, we need dimensions on that cane and the walker
so you can make antennas out of them when your recovery is complete.

Walt:

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I've never met you, but when reading your Reflections articles from
your web site and the ARRL's, it is as if "Professor Maxwell" is by my
side making the a complex subject easier for non EE's to understand.

Walt -

Glad to hear that you are back "on the mend".
Remember that rehabilitation is one day at a time - each with its own
victory!

Hi Walt,

Speedy recovery and prayers for complete regaining of equilibrium!!!

Yep, hospitals great place to catch something. Friend's father wasn't so
lucky, operation of the knee was successful but he was finished by the
infection.

Welcome back and have fun with antenna mumbo-jumbo!

Yuri, K3BU

Hey Walt
I had that standing-up problem once, but I sobered up the next day.
Seriously, have a successful recovery.
There are too few rational people around as it is.
