Try the Comet SBB-1NMO dual band mounted on mag mount base with NMO
connector such as Larsen MNO MM. Page 98 of HRO Winter 03 catalog,
$39.95. It's 17 inches long (plus an inch for the mag mount), looks
like a rubber duck, and is super flexible.

I have one on my Toyota Land Cruiser which is quite tall. The antenna
hits some of the overheads in an 84 inch (7 ft) clearance garage, but
it just flexes and plonks along. I would think that your vehicle is
not as tall as mine so that even the Larsen NMOQ 2/70 B at 18 inches
might work. That one is on page 100 of HRO catalog.
