While it could be used for transmitting, the losses through the matching and switching networks mean that other designs are more efficient at radiating a signal. For example, ferrite rods make great compact receiving antennas, but are practically useless for transmitting. Just because you have a great receiving antenna, it doesn't mean that it will transmit equally well. Mike G0ULI |
