Your ignorance is showing, Jim. It takes absolutely no work to
transform impedances because those impedances are virtual and
meet the IEEE Dictionary definition (B) for "impedance" which
requires zero work.

:-) No work means no power, and no ________. See if you can fill in
the blank.

It is titled: "Lecture-38-Phasor Form of Poynting Theorem" - enjoy!

Wow! I never thought I would ever see this information outside
of a university lecture. There are a number of these lectures
available. Anyone who is serious about this subject line should
avail themselves of the considerable technical knowledge contained
in these lectures.

Cecil:

Excellent! find ...

Yeah, I just bet.

But we are seeing the "mirror image" of that. It amazes us that someone
is so stupid as to use a usenet host which is slower than the postal system!

Sounds to me there is a "crack under the door" and the light coming
through is suggesting ether has NOT the properties of iron ...

You are right, of course. I've been retired for a
decade now and forgot what work was. :-) Work can
have the dimensions of joules. Reflected power is
in joules/sec. The joules in the reflected wave
is equal to the reflected power times the length
of the transmission line in seconds.

Bunk! Broadcast arrays have the same pattern using either painted steel
towers or galvanized steel towers.

So you reject the magnetic field shape of a diamagnetic material
being deifferent from its steel counterpart?

I have heavy military 12 ft. SS whips, a magnet will stick to them ...

Then it is not fully efficient as a diamagnetic material.
You will note that the SS retains energy in its magnetic
condition via a hysteresis curve.
