Could you clarify? 73 Hi Nomen, In the GAP line of vertical antennas (not speaking about this joke of the Super C); each antenna performs poorly on its lowest operational band. Otherwise, it works as well as the ad-hoc vertical tuned for any of the higher bands. The Eagle DX (I have one) is not very remarkable on 40M. The larger models, reported here by others, exhibit equally poor reports on their lowest operational band, and generally good marks for the higher bands. It does well to elevate the antenna to obtain what good qualities that are reported here. Mine is at 10 feet above ground at the edge of a car port. It is unguyed and has survived some very heavy wind (around 60MPH). 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC |
