Default 50 KW AM stations

I heard that the 50kW AM clear channel stations were set up to send/
receive ultra slow RTTY for gov or mil purposes. Does anyone know
anything about this?

Interesting.
Record the signal, then play it back at different speeds (frequencies) using
different demodulator setups.
(Don't play it backwards - it says something about one of the Beatles that
way.)
