[snip] it wouldn't matter. now if there were two linearly polarized antennas rotating such that their polarizations stayed in sync that would at least reduce the fading caused by one rotating and the other being stationary. but only if the path between them didn't produce any rotation or randomization of the polarization, so essentially only for short paths with no reflective multi-path or other effects. seems like more trouble than its worth... what would you gain from it anyway?
