Trees have vascular systems so are "wet" all the time. Dry trees are
dead trees,

Oops, forgot to say that water, even with the contaminants of life in
it, doesn't conduct very well when frozen.

The original question had to do with interference with radio
reception, not with conduction.

What planet do you live on?

Interference had nothing to do with the discussion.

Conduction of objects in the local environment has everything to do with
reception.

Your license is new in August this year. And tied to a canceled
callsign in 1999. Odd history.

Odd comment?
What is wrong with a new license?

You must live where it never freezes.

The original question had to do with rain, did it not? Not ice.

I was responding to "wet" versus "dead".

* The difference between summer
and winter on 2m and up is certainly noticeable and measurable here in
Minnesota.

And the difference is attributed to what?

Very very simple physics.

I get it. You are Art today.

Just to be clear, I was first licensed in 1991, never "cancelled",
upgraded in August 2009.

And why does Tom choose to spread disinformation as part of this
discussion?

My apologies. It was wrong.

And to compound the problem, it was the wrong call.

Hiya, Tom --

No big deal! The tone in my posts sometimes gets snotty. Anyway, I
was interested in the discussion because I'm surrounded by pine trees
taller than my three story house.
