Two questions, please:

a. Is there some way to tell if a USB cable is USB 2, or if it is an
older version ? Some symbol on it, perhaps ? What about for USB 3 ?

Is USB downward compatible for USB usages ?

b. Any recommendations for an indoor antenna for HF (30 MHz) that
would be omni-directional, and really small in size ?

Would like to have something reasonably sensitive that might fit on a
desktop, or on top of the radio itself.

Would it have to be an active-antenna to meet this criterian ?
