Default any way to put a mobile antenna on an element

Well there's always thru-the-glass. *It's not the most efficient in my
experience (which is limited with respect to these) but it seems to work
well enough if you have a decent repeater system that is the target.
One plus is that you can usually get most of the half wave above the
roofline.

For all around flexibility I still like the simple quarter wave vertical
for 2m FM. *Enough high angle for metro downtown use, but that involves
either holes or magnets.

I saw a note from a guy who "cooked" part of his window with the thru-
the-glass approach. He said the film sandwiched in the safety glass
darkened from being heated. As I recall, he was using 50 watts.

This stuff is all trade-offs, eh?
