			Does an Icom 229H use an internal battery. If so what happens if the battery dies. |

Found the problems I was having was due to having the wrong microphone plugged into it.. Yes it does have a battery that is still working after all this time. Once I got the right microphone hooked up I discovered it still had all the local repeaters programmed in just as I had put it away in'95. Still wary of the battery though after all this time It could fail anytime now.. I have a scanner board that uses a Super Capacitor to maintain memory I was wondering a bout the feasability of replacing the battery with one of these. I cant find my schematic for the radio so I have no idea what I would have to do to provide a way of charging the cap. |
