Might be of interest to some; the model railway fraternity are now using sticky-backed copper tape, 1cm wide, to distribute power over their baseboards, especially now that single-feed DCC needs to be applied everywhere. Both aluminum (aluminium, GB) and copper tape such as that have been around for decades in window security applications.
