Gadwin can grab anything and everything you can bring up on your screen and it can be not only viewed, it can also be printed and stored for future use. __________________________________________________ _________ Isn't that what PrintScreen does? Copies the screen to the Clipboard? Sort of but the screengrab programs take the concept much farther than just Alt-PrintScr which only creates ponderous Windoze .bmps. In the case of Gadwin it will produce not only .bmps, it can also churn out ..jpgs, gifs, tifs and others. The .pngs it creates are amazingly small vs. the rest which matters when tossing image files around by e-mail. The size & area of the capture window can be mouse-defined anywhere on the screen and the view size of the output image can be controlled via adjustable magnification. Gadwin is a nice little piece of freeware but the payware screen grab programs like Snagit take the fine art to much higher levels. In any event I've found that Gadwin is far more useful than the Clipboard routine when it comes to doing chores like capturing, storing, printing and e-mailing screen grabs. -- Bill, W6WRT w3rv |
