horizontal loop on top of a High Rise
I have 400 feet run for a square Loop on top of 15 storeyed building. My shack is two floors below on 13 Floor. It is difficult to reduce the 400 feet to 270 odd feet for full wave for 80 mtrs and i cant increase to 500 plus feet needed for 160 mtrs. So my question is:-

What should be the feed arrangement - Balanced ladder line to the shack to MFJ 939E tuner or 4:1 Balun and coax to the IC 7300? I would like to avoid Ladder Line all the way to the shack and if a short length would do than what length should it be? Would be grateful for some practical advice. VU2MNX, (Mahendra) |
