Default new use for a Direct TV antenna?

Direct TV antenna possible without a subscription to a cable/sat Tv
service-that is to receive as with a regular TV antenna?

some microwave ops have converted them for use on some of the ham bands up
around 10ghz i think, but other than that there is probably not much else
they are good for.
