radial system or to set it up as a roof mount with the Butternut

radial kit. If the radial kit gives good performance it might be worth it
to try to deal with the roof mount as I do get the antenna up over the
trees
with this configuration.

Anyone had any luck with this set up?

No experience with it but Bencher now offers a counterpoise for the
Butternut which may help. I ground mounted my Butternut about a dozen feet
from my operating position and that resulted in some difficulty with RF in
the shack messing with my computer. So whatever location gets the antenna
farthest away from the operating position is the one I would recommend.
