says... Thanks Chris.(again!) Any suggestions for a good no ground plane antenna for both applications? I think just recently I read of someone who solved the ground-plane issue for mag-mount antennas by using a big pizza platter. Mag-mounted the antenna to the platter, and clamped the platter to a Hummer that had a fiberglass shell.
