If indeed the Z at the generator end of the coax was 36+j0 (ie it was resonant at that point), then I make the load Z ~ 62-j5. This will confuse your efforts to infer an effective ground system impedance, and losses. Another point to consider, instruments like you are using (in my experience) are more accurate near to 50+j0, and you may get better results by bulking up the feedpoint Z with a known fixed resistor to exploit the better measurement accuracy around 50+j0.
