Hello all. I recently uncovered an old TRC-208 CB handheld. There's a spot on

the side for an external antenna, but the plug looks like a modern day A/V plug you'd find on a TV or VCR. Anyone know what this type plug is called? It's definately not an RCA plug and not anything modern, like a BNC, Mini-UHF or SO-239. I can get a picture of it if needed. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB - WPYI880 (GMRS) Beachwood, NJ USA! Grid FM29vw http://vhfradiobuff.tripod.com |

The kind you're refering to is an RCA jack, I think. From the looks of the plug, it appears the end of the coax would have to look like the cables you plug into your TV or VCR's A/V jacks. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB - WPYI880 (GMRS) Beachwood, NJ USA! The connector you are describing is the one called RCA (plugs and jacks).

The Motorola is larger, and the socket looks like a 5/16" hole about 3/4" deep, with the center pin even deeper than that. The RCA socket protrudes out about a quarter to 3/8 inch and is also around 5/16" dia. -- Crazy George Remove N O and S P A M imbedded in return address "VHFRadioBuff" wrote in message ... old motorola ? the type that you still find on the back of some scanners?
