Default tower bolts - another question

What is the reason that Rohn uses two differant size bolts on the legs of
the 25G tower ?

I am sure there is a good one or they would not have done that.

good question, i've always thought it was to be sure the sections were fully
mated... you couldn't put in the big bolts unless those holes lined up which
prevented bolting up a partially mated joint.

Probably only the engineer at Rohn would know.

It may not be as a safety feature when mating, because Rohn 55 uses
two bolts exactly the same size in each leg. Most likely it is a stress
rating issue, and that's all the bolt size needed to do the job.

The first time I encountered 25G, that particular design feature didn't
prevent me from using all the small bolts in the box. The bigger ones
were obviously meant for something else.

Americans are apparently born knowing all about Rohn tower sections; but
Englishmen need to be properly introduced.
