The round (meatball) emblem came out came out in the 70's and replaced the traditional "winged" emblem. Certain production changes, some quite significant, accompanied the change in the Collins logo. Thus, when buying or selling, the round emblem connotes later production equipment...... Which is really why someone cares about the emblem. They want one specific to the era of production, and the emblem is an easy way of denoting them. All those ads seeking Collins equipment with a specific emblem aren't there because the people think one emblem is nicer looking than the other. Thanks in advance for the answer. |
