I'm restoring an SX-28A that has been extensively hacked, especially
in the oscillator section. The schematic shows a coil with one side attached to grids 2 & 3 and the plate of the 6SA7 oscillator tube, and the other side going through R47 (etc.) to the RF amp 6AB7. I found R47 and associated components, but not the coil. Where is it supposed to be? Oscillator coil #1 is shown on the schematic to be center-tapped like coils 2 thru 6, but my #1 coil does not have a center tap. The coil looks original -- is the schematic perhaps wrong? The #1 coil does nave a small 1-turn "secondary" wound over it: how should this be connected? I'd appreciate any help to get this old Soldier operating again. 73, Jeff N6MNI |
