Default Ham Radio in the Movies

I happened to watch Operation Petticoat a few days ago, with Cary Grant.
Early in the movie, in the background of Grant's submarine was a
Hallicrafters SX-43 and a Hallicrafters SX-17, Later, there was a supply
"raid" in a warehouse by Tony Curtis. Although the camera scanned quickly,
it looked like a BC-610 on a pallet.
