Default EV M-26/U info

Does anyone have the specs for an Electro-Voice M-26/U microphone?
I bought one a while back and can't find any tech info on the E-V
site, which is generally pretty good.
It looks identical to the 630 series, but without an on-off switch,
and the nameplate is stamped 12,000 Ohms.
I'm guessing it's just a high impedance version of the 630.

Thanks & 73

That's a government issue microphone. It could actually be one of many
different kinds of microphones... whatever met the standards for the
M-67 nomenclature and turned in the lowest bid that week.

If it looks like an olive drab 630, it probably is indeed a 630 but with
the reversed connector required by the JAN procurement folks, the paint
job, and possibly some additional sealing and waterproofing.

Could be a 630 element with a step-up transformer or it could be a
different voice coil. I'd put a dollar on the step-up transformer.

Shure and University Sound also made mikes that met the AN/M-26/U spec,
which looked totally different.
