It is overkill for antique radio work, but much of the instrumentation

is used for repairing other instruments (including some of the ones

seen in the photos), and I sometimes have to bring home equipment from

radio stations where I am contract engineer if I lack the means to

make repairs at the client's location.

Channel Jumper, Just ignore the so called purists that shun CBs. Most started on CB! I got news, that are a lot more CBs in the world than Ham radios. Their money spends just fine Every truck, delivery van, etc in the world has a CB. Millions of them. Being a retired old crumudgeon, I repair CBs for a bit of extra cash. I could care less about their habits. They are not on HF anyway. Mostly I fix truck stop mods (they are constantly breaking their radios). There is a need for short range communication. How many of these "purists" don't take something that will monitor 19 on a road trip? If you don't help CBers, where are you gonna get new hams in the future? We are the Magi you know. Just show a young CBer how to key up an HT and bring up a repeater and carry on a QSO with full quieting 100 miles away. If you don't take their money, God won't love you! HEHEHE!

You obviously haven't followed this newsgroup - but that's obvious. We
occasionally get people responding to old posts, and they always come
from Google Groups.

Just FYI, Channel Jumper is a well-known troll in this newsgroup.
That's one reason he won't use his real name or a call sign. He's not
even a ham.
