Hi all. I been working on my SX-28 and I wanted to give it a little more
kick and I ran accross a neat little Q multiplier project in one of my
old ARRL Handbooks (42nd 1965) . It uses a 2N1264 or a 2N274 transistor.
What do you think about these old types and is there a more modern
transistor that would better suit my needs? I posted the artical and
schematic over on alt.binaries.radio. Thanks

Why not save yourself the trouble and stick with hollow state. You could add something like this :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7383 676&rd=1

or this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...74422 26&rd=1

instead.

Just a thought
