Default help ID an old carbon microphone

....see photos at: www.nyx.net/~wboas/mic.html

Only mark on this is the number `28' on the back,
and inside, on the cord `Kellogg S.& S. Co No. 56363 Cord'

Any ideas on its era, equipment, etc...appreciated.

Bill
