Only mark on this is the number `28' on the back,
and inside, on the cord `Kellogg S.& S. Co No. 56363 Cord'

Any ideas on its era, equipment, etc...appreciated.

It's made by Kellogg Switchboard company in Chicago. They made telephone
equipment of various grades, most of it pretty crappy. Probably this was
intended for some telephone system, possibly an operator's set.

The guys at Phoneco in Wisconsin may have the rest of the set if you want to
complete it.
