Default German March on old Larry Glick show - WBZ 1970's

On WBZ in the 1970's Larry Glick used to play this tuneful, swaggering
German march song, accompanied by war sounds, during the 0515 Farm &
Market Report. The poor guy would be dutifully reciting the costs of
various agricultural commodities at top speed over the telephone, and
all the while Der Krauwinkler's Lamstruf (spelling? Larry's name for
it) would be blazing away along with heavy artillery. Once, I
requested in it the earlier portion of his program and he kindly
obliged with the full retinue of sound effects.

I would pay a fair price to find a recording of this wondrous tune, if
no other reason than old times' sake. Anybody have a copy of this
piece?

Thanks,
Bruce

Hi Bruce...5 years late but I just saw your 2010 post while I was searching
for the song you requested. If you've never found it, here are a couple i
tems for you:

1. On Amazon.com you can buy a single of the German Marching Song under th
e name of Der Krahwinkler Landstorm. I believe that this is actually a do
uble misspelling. Larry Glick actually READ the spelling on the air a coup
le times and HE says it's "Der Krauwinklers Landstrom" which even looks mor
e correct to me.

This song on Amazon is clearly the same SONG Larry played but not the same
version of it.

2. I have a copy of Larry's version. You may have a copy if you'd like. It
does, however, contain all the war sounds and diver bombers etc. so it is
not a "pure" copy. On the other hand, it IS pure Glick.

3. I also have an unopened copy of Larry Glick's 33-1/3 RPM record album fo
r sale. I don't recall the contents but would be glad to list them for you
if you are interested.

I can be contacted at

Have a Glicktacular day!

Dave
