The Credibility Gap, a comedy troupe that included Lew Irwin, Harry Shearer, Richard Beebe, and David L. Lander. Ted Alvy remembers the Credibility Gap leaving KRLA and moving to KPPC/fm when Les Carter became pd on April 1, 1970. “Michael McKean was the last to join the Gap along with his guitar [he currently plays the band leader on Comedy Central's Martin Short vehicle Primetime Glick].
