We sure have come a long way from the concept of about 80 years ago, when the government figured that 15-20 high-powered AM stations (back when AM was all there was) would be all the broadcasting that the US would need. |

AM STATIONS 4803 That's about 4,000 to many for adequate coverage of the U.S. with high-quality signals. |
