57-Year Vet Set to Retire

Entercom Greenville Market Manager Steve Sinicropi made the announcement
that December 22nd will be Bob McLain’s last day as full-timeÂ*afternoon
drive host for WYRD-FM. McLain hosted afternoons on the station for 14
years during a 57 year radio career.

The Senate voted to confirm Republican Nathan Simington to the FCC on
Tuesday, which means there are now two Republicans and two Democrats on the
Commission. If the Republican controlled Senate refuses to confirm a Biden
nominee, it could mean a deadlocked FCC for the foreseeable future.

KLOL-FM in Houston raised over $320,000 to benefit Texas Children’s
Hospital during Mega 101 FM’s 10th annual “Mega Radiothon.� All funds
raised will provide services to children in the local community who would
otherwise not have access to proper medical attention.

WGH-FM in Virginia Beach held their 28th Annual Country Cares for St. Jude
Radiothon last week and listeners contributed $187,349. The money will be
