March 2021 Ratings Top 50

Posted: 23 Apr 2021 01:58 PM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...atings-top-50/

Every month after the four days of the PPM ratings releases, Ratings Expert
Chris Huff compiles lists of the top fifty stations by share and CUME.

Among the highlights from this month:

iHeartMedia AC 106.7 Lite-FM WLTWs CUME returns to over 3 million people
for the first time since the start of the pandemic one year ago. The
companys New York cluster had the three most listened to stations in the
country with 103.5 WKTU and 100.3 WHTZ following behind.
Sixteen of the top seventeen and seventeen of the top twenty stations by
CUME came from either New York or Los Angeles. Only iHeartMedia AC Sunny
99.1 KODA Houston at #9, Hot AC 102.9 Now KDMX Dallas at #18, and CHR 106.1
Kiss-FM KHKS Dallas at #19 did not.
Not a single Country station appeared in the top 50 CUME
While CHR shares are still down overall, even low rated stations retained
higher CUME. CHR Amp 97.1 KAMP Los Angeles, which has a 1.2 share ahead of
its rebranding to Now 97.1 last week, still managed to be one of the most
listened to stations in the country. It just didnt keep its listeners
around for long periods of time.
For the second straight month, Audacy AC Lite 100.5 WRCH Hartford had the
highest share in the PPM markets with a 13.4.
Only eleven stations cracked a 10.0 share this month, down significantly
from nineteen in February.
Only one CHR and Alternative station each landed a spot in the top 50
share-wise. iHeartMedias 97.9 WNCI Columbus represented CHR, while Hubbards
105.7 The Point KPNT St. Louis was the Alternative leader.

that affect our community as we continue building on our position as the
voice of St. Louis.”

“This is a dream come true for me to host a show on a historic radio
station with talented, funny and curious people like Bo and Ryan,” said
Daniel. “My goal is to bring listeners stories about the people, places and
things in the region we all love but want so much more out of.”

An award-winning reporter and anchor, Daniel most recently celebrated her

“Getting the opportunity to share the stories of St. Louis and hear about
the people that make it the special place that it is will be an honor,”
Matthews said. “To get to do that with Carol and Ryan makes it even better.
This is proof that you can dream big, but God dreams even bigger and makes
them come true.”

Bo Matthews started his career behind the microphone when he was 18 years

WMBD Moves Markley, Van Camp & Robbins To Limbaugh Slot; Adds Craig Collins
For Afternoons

Posted: 22 Apr 2021 03:20 PM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...or-afternoons/

Midwest Communications News/Talk 1470 WMBD/100.3 W262BY Peoria IL has
announced a schedule revamp.

Compass Media Networks Markley, Van Camp Robbins, which was originally
based at the station locally before going national, will move from 2-6pm to
12-3pm filling the slot that had been held by Premiere Networks Rush
Limbaugh.

Craig Collins, who previously worked for the station as Markley, Van Camp
Robbins producer in 2018-2019, will return to WMBD as afternoon host.
Collins has also previously served as a producer and co-host for Garry
Meiers show at WGN Chicago and as a fill-in on RadioAmericas Chad Benson
Show.

Craig Collins will be returning to Peoria, Illinois to host the 3pm-to-6pm
slot on 1470-100.3 WMBD, the leading News-Talk station in Central Illinois.

The change is a part of three different moves on WMBD. The nationally
syndicated Markley, van Camp and Robbins Show, which also originates at
WMBD, will now air live in the spot previously occupied by The Rush
Limbaugh Show.

“That move opened up the afternoon drive slot, and Craig was the natural
choice for us there” said VP-Market Manager Mike Wild, who runs the
dominant Midwest Communications cluster in Peoria. “Craig is passionate,
he’s already a part of the community, and because he was part of our group
in the past, we know how he can contribute to the culture and success of
our entire operation.”

Collins’ first big break in the industry was at WGN Radio as executive
producer of The Garry Meier Show. Next, he became the producer of The
Markley, van Camp, and Robbins Show, which was recently added to Talker’s
Heavy 100.

Craig will be a familiar voice to many WMBD listeners as a morning fill-in
for WMBD’s Greg and Dan Show as well as a fill-in host for Markley, van
Camp and Robbins. In the meantime, he has also become the fill-in for the
nationally syndicated “Chad Benson Show.”

Quoting Collins, “I couldn’t pick a better home for The Craig Collins Show
than WMBD and can’t wait to get started!”

WMBD will also add The Dana Show from 9pm-12m. All changes will start May 3.

WMBD is part of a six-station, seven-format cluster owned by Duke Wright’s
Midwest Communications.
