In the largest co-operative effort in the industry's history, American radio companies have agreed to spend $28 million on a six-week marketing campaign to convince the public to listen to the radio. Faced with competition from the new satellite radio services that already have 4.5 million subscribers, and from internet radio which Arbitron says attracts 4.1 million listeners, this radio industry promotion is based around the tag line "radio - you hear it here first". http://www.theradiomagazine.co.uk/News.htm |
