Help Defeat Ill-Conceived FLA Radio Law
David Eduardo wrote:
Florida cleverly gets unlicensed radio stations on a combination of zoning, lack of permits, lack of RFI studies and other issues that do not have to do with actual spectrum assignment. They lump it all in a sort of basket of public endangerment which will probably stand up in a court, as they are essentially enforcing safety and zoning rules. And that's all perfectly fine. That's _not_ encroaching on the FCC's mandate. Although the lack of RFI studies might arguably be considered so, the rest of them are just fine. They may wind up with pirates claiming in court that they weren't treated equivalently to other businesses, though, and they might manage to get off on that. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
