According to Digikey's webpage they have 320 in stock at $5.16 each
single unit quantity. Avnet and Arrow have no stock and on teh
SSM2166SZ they are quoting upwards to 16 week lead time.

Now that is a mor erealistic lead time. 36 to 38 weeks tells me that
the next production run of that IC is not scheduled for at least
another 10 weeks and curent production runs are spoken for. I would
say that this is not a super high run IC. Just enough though to keep
the line open and do a RoHS conversion to the packaging.
