But this is in such good shape I figured it would be a crime -not- to let you guys know about it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=250191413648 Gee Whiz Frank for 100 Bucks you'd think that radio would have a bottle opener and a compass. Honestly, I wouldn't take any less for it. There's just too much good stuff about it. Like how the clarifier works as a delta-tune in AM, and how the headphone jack works with stereo heaphones...... if it doesn't sell then I'll just keep it. Acutally, I'm tempted to pull the listing and not sell it at all, but I just have too many radios right now. Neat old radio tho. I like the 3 well light meters. Needs a D104 Mic. Shamless Spam? Naaah I'd say its on topic. No kelp. |

I feel this need to 'simplify' things right now so I'm thinning out my stuff across the board. Most I'm selling locally but a few things are going up on ebay. For instance, I have a super-rare Seahawks jacket I'll be putting up in a day or two. Hey, you could get it yourself, and the next time Seattle visits Cleveland you could burn it in effigy..... |

Yeah but I'd be more interested in the radio instead of the jacket, if'n I didn't have too many jackets and radio's already. That's a slick rig. |

I'd trade my Collins station monitor for a clean electro voice and some cash input. (not really, i hate to break it up) |

Naaah I'd say its on topic. Yeah I know I have a few General Radiotelephone Tube radios, and a Johnson or two. That I would not sell. As we on this subject of older radios. I have a oldie but goodie Gonset G-12 4 channel crystal controlled radio. No S-meter but has a light bulb as a transmitting indicator and works pretty good for a 50 year old radio. I put on a old Carbon Mic, a surplus military type, called a Eisenhower type Tank Mic. I have this radio as a Garage Radio (I have posted the story of garage radios here before) so I keep a ear to the locals so I know they are bad mouthing me. Makes sense right? Jay in the Mojave |
