Default What is one of the most comical things you have ever witnessed?

Another most comical thing I remember:

When a bunch of hams wanted to turn the guy who is constantly saying
"alarm zone 1",, "alarm zone 2", "alarm zone 3" and "alarm zone four"
on the Murs
channels into the FCC so that he would get fined and/or put in jail
and/or get his radio equipment taken away from him for doing so since
he was illegally
transmitting one way communications not directed to anyone which those
particular hams considered intentional jamming of the freqquency even
though no
one else was transmitting on frequency at the time nor even trying to.

the hams tried tracking him for months since the guy was doing it for
months, but never could find him. The poor hams couldn't figure it
out.

What they didn't know is the "guy" doing that wasn't a guy at all. It
is an automatic announcement built into the MURS radios by a certain
manufacturer.

And is completely legal since that is using MURS for one of it's
intended purposes.

It's the tracking/security alarm Murs device that whenever a burglar
or animal or someone walks by, starts saying "alarm zone one" or
whatever number.

Absolutely hilarious. imo.
