Default Cobra 18 WX ST II vs. Cobra 75 WX ST All-in-handset

I'm trying to decide between these two Cobra CB's as a Christmas present.
I'm not sure I have any questions/concerns about the standard unit
(http://www.cobra.com/index.php?page=...uct_id=12&id=1) but
wanting to know if any has or knows about the All-in-handset model
(http://www.cobra.com/index.php?page=...duct_id=5&id=1)??

Seems like a cool design:

- compact size
- can be hidden to deter someone from stealing it
- handset with speaker can be raised to the ear to hear over loud road
noise or whatever
- handset easily moved to another vehicle with a second Remote Mount
System (if that is something sold separately)

....but what looks good on paper doesn't always work as you'd expect after
buying/trying it.

I've also been looking at the Uniden PRO538W as another option
(http://www.uniden.com/product.cfm?product=PRO538W). Comparing the two
brands, there isn't much detail about the Uniden. As a result, it appear
that you get more for your $$ from Cobra... but that's not confirmed by
talking to anyone about either.

Advise? Recommendations? Better Alternatives?

Thanks!
