Down here when were on the beach we don't worry about mounting them very high
for any dx talking but then again that's usually the only reason were ever on
the beach to begin with. Nothing like 4kw's and a ground plane on the salt
water. Tall antenna's are a problem for the local talking city dweller type of
operators. Btw, how have you been Jim? It's great hearing from you! Kp82 in
Galveston is gone...........



before anyone asks how does one put up an ant99 off a mobile home i saw
a setup using a 6' tripod about 6 meters off the back of the m'home. he
was on the beach and smoked. problem he had was securing it against a
stiff wind.

radio's down due to the jogunn off the roof. new second
story going up. tower as soon as some bux appear. might be awhile as the
boat, shed, fencing take precedence. 73, jim.

i told him 12 and he said it was abnormal but live with it
